Candle holders

Candle holders may also be known as candlestick. However, this term is usually used for those which exhibit a pedestal shape. If a structure holds multiple candles, it can be described as a canelabrum.

In general, candle holders perform their duty with a socket. This means that when a candle is too wide, it will not fit. If one is to thin, it will wobble. When pressed with such issues, it may be possible to whittle the wax down to an appropriate size. Also, lighting a thinner one and allowing it to drip into the holder can work to provide it with more support. Another alternative for this latter predicament is to fit it with aluminum foil.

Candle holders and candles were traditionally created together. This resulted in them having appropriate fits. Today, they are generally created separately. As a result, poor-fitted options are more common occurrences. Other designs may incorporate vertical spikes to keep the candle in place.
